International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study and practice of the interactions between sovereign states, as well as the relationships among various non-state actors such as international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and multinational corporations. It encompasses various facets including diplomacy, conflict resolution, international law, and the global economy. The field examines how countries cooperate, compete, and influence one another, often focusing on issues such as war, peace, security, trade, and human rights. Theories in international relations, such as realism, liberalism, and constructivism, seek to explain the behavior of states and the dynamics of the international system. Scholars and practitioners analyze historical events, current affairs, and emerging global trends to understand the complexities of global interactions and to inform policy decisions at both national and international levels.
